Things that make me happy

  • When my parents send me pictures of my cat over Facebook. I miss her so much!
  • Rugby! Okay okay, I've only had two practices and I hardly know the rules and I've never actually seen a match, but it's so much fun!
  • My best friend offering to hire an assassin to get rid of people I don't like. (Not for real, chill.)
  • Chocolate Oranges! When we went home from Italy this summer, we saw someone who had a suitcase full of green apples. I expect to do the same with Chocolate Oranges.
  • Living on campus. Not having to spend at least an hour on getting to uni is such a huge change for me, and a very welcome one!

  • New stationery. There is a Hay shop here in Bath that I made the mistake of walking in to yesterday. My goodness, they have some beautiful things in there.
  • Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast or RHLSTP (rhlstp). I've listened to so many episodes of this while going for long walks recently.
  • Being in Bath. Just, you know, being here. I love it.

The Rose Tree body oil and cleansing butter reviews

The Rose Tree is one of the brands I had a chance to get acquaintad with during Gorgeously Green Gathering. There I also won a full size of their Cedarwood, Patchouli & Ylang Ylang Body Oil* in a raffle and bought their Carrot & Mango Cleansing Butter. We already had a small sample of it in our goody bags, but I had a feeling it would be awesome (Spoiler: I was totally right, it was).

The Cedarwood, Patchouli and Ylang Ylang body oil* is not something I would have chosen for myself, as I am not very keen on the cedarwood scent, However, this is really starting to grow on me. (Hah, see what I did there? Cedar, grow... Oh well, moving on.)

The scent is just subtle enough for me to like it, and it smells really warm and clean. As you can tell I'm not good at describing scents, so these are just words that come in to my mind when I smell it.

The oils used are quite dry, and so it sinks in to my skin quite quickly and just leaves it feeling very soft and moisturised.

This is priced at £26 for 100 ml.

The Carrot & Mango cleansing butter is exceptional, and at £27 for 50 grams I don't think it's a bad deal at all. It smells really nice, removes makeup like a dream and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean without it feeling dehydrated.

I really have only good things to say about it, and it has even made me look forward to taking my makeup off in the evening.

Now, The Rose Tree is a luxury brand, as their slogan reveals, and is priced thereafter. It is not the most expensive things out there, and I actually think that mainly the cleansing butter is very reasonably priced. We all have our different budgets and wether you want to pay that much or not is for you to decide, but I say that if it is within your budget and these are the kind of products that you tend to like, go for it!
